Marco Guazzone was born in Rome in 1988. He studied piano composition at the Music Conservatory of Santa Cecilia and film scoring composition at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. He is a singer, pianist and frontman of the band STAG.
In 2010 he produced and published, as a solo artist, his first single “Love Will Save Us”, which was selected as the official soundtrack for Fox Life TV commercial.
With his song “Guasto”, he runs, as a solo artist, at the 62nd edition of Sanremo Festival song contest, within the new talents section, winning Assomusica and Rai Gulp awards. In 2012 he released his first album called “Atlas of Thoughts”, written and performed with STAG and produced by Steve Lyon – producer and sound engineer also for Paul McCartney, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Subsonica, Linea 77. Together with his band, he starts working with Goodlab Music , a film scoring composing studio founded by Maestro Paolo Buonvino.
In 2015 he received a nomination for the song “Cosa C’è”, written and performed with Paolo Buonvino and Malika Ayane, at the Ciak D’Oro awards as Best Original Song for the movie “Fratelli Unici”. He wrote the song “Dimmi se Adesso mi Vedi”, sung by the italian singer Arisa, for her album “Se Vedo Te”. He composed several soundtracks for cinema, theater and television (‘La Mamma Imperfetta” by Ivan Cotroneo, ‘Il Don Giovanni’, by Filippo Timi, ‘Tutto Può Succedere’). In 2014 Italian artist Elisa invited Guazzone and his band as special guests on stage, at the Lucca Summer Festival.
In 2015 he composed with his band the song “Senza Mentire”, which was selected as the official soundtrack for AISM fundraiser (Italian Multiple Sclerosis Society). Together with his band, he composed the soundtrack for the movie “La Notte è Piccola” – which will be released in theaters in February 2017 – directed by Gianfrancesco Lazotti, for which he had also been cast as an actor.
He has been hosting a live music radio show on air on In Blu Radio since April 2016. Over the past few years, together with STAG, he opened for many artists like Moby, Suzanne, Vega, Malika Ayane.
