Francesco Motta is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with four studio albums and one live album, hundreds of stages where he performed first with Criminal Jokers and then as a solo artist. Among his awards and accolades for music, Motta was twice winner of the Targa Tenco for Best Album (in 2016 as Opera Prima with the album “La fine dei vent’anni,” in 2018 as Best Album in Absolute with “Vivere o Morire”). In 2019 he took part to the Sanremo Festival with “Dov’è l’Italia,” winning the award for Best Duet with Nada. In 2021, he released his third album “Semplice,” while 2023 is the year of his fourth album “La musica è finita,” a direct, brash and powerful record, born from a strong creative and contamination phase, enriched by the participation of thick musicians and unreleased collaborations. A graduate of the Experimental Center of Cinematography, Motta can also boast of a very close and still current artistic relationship with cinema: Motta has created and composed numerous soundtracks for films such as “Pororoca,” “Dollhouse,” “The Tell Tale Heart,” “Goodbye Darlin I’m Off to Fight” and “La Terra dei figli”.
