Born in 1981, Raphael Gualazzi is a singer-songwriter, composer, arranger, musician and producer. After classical studies at the Conservatory, he experimented with different musical genres, giving birth to a very personal style, between stride piano, jazz, blues and fusion. Gualazzi participated to the most renowned festivals in Europe, scored sold-out in Italy and abroad always with formations of international musicians, even conquering Japan and Canada. In 2011, already well known in France, he triumphed at the Sanremo Festival in the Youth category with the song “Follia d’amore”, and on the Ariston stage he returned twice more, always with great success: in 2013 with “Sai (ci basta un sogno)” and in 2014 together with The Bloody Beetroots, with an unreleased project that fused jazz, electronics, blues and gospel. With four albums and three EPs in Italy, Gualazzi has released his music worldwide (always with Sugar), also composing for TV and movies. In 2023 Gualazzi composed and performed “Il Giro”, the song accompanying the Rai commercial for the Giro D’Italia 2023, in rotation on Rai channels since late April. “Dreams” is the title of his latest album released in October 2023.
