Born in Rome on March 4, 1970, Riccardo Sinigallia has been writing songs since the age of 12. In 2000, the album “La descrizione di un attimo” by Tiromancino was released, for which he took care of the artistic production and co-authored all the songs, including the one that will give the album its title, but also “Due destini,” which will be in the credits of “Le fate ignoranti,” and “Strade,” with which he will participate in a duet at Fabio Fazio’s Sanremo festival. In 2003 his first work “Riccardo Sinigallia” was released, which was included by specialized critics in the charts of the best Italian records of those years. In 2006, “Incontri a metà strada” was released, an album that again garnered much critical acclaim and with which he managed to create his own space in the panorama of contemporary Italian songwriting. In 2014, with the songs “Prima di andare via” and “Una rigenerazione,” written together with Filippo Gatti, Riccardo Sinigallia participates for the first time as a soloist at the Sanremo Festival, which is followed, on February 20, by the release of the new album “Per Tutti,” the first on the Sugar label. In 2018 he released the new album “Ciao Cuore,” anticipated by the single of the same name. He is, in addition, the author of numerous soundtracks including “Paz!”, “Amatemi” and “Lo Spietato”. For the song “Caro amore lontanissimo”, for which he wrote the lyrics to the unreleased music of Sergio Endrigo, he won the Nastro d’Argento for Best Original Song, contained in the soundtrack of the film “Il Colibrì”.
