Lucio Corsi

Lucio Corsi is a Tuscan singer-songwriter born in 1993 and originally from Val di Campo di Vetulonia. In 2012, after various experiences as a guitarist with local bands, he moved to Milan. In the sprawling city, he decided to pursue a solo career, performing his own songs in Italian.

In 2015, he released his first two EPs, “Vetulonia Dakar” and “Altalena Boy” (produced by Federico Dragogna and released by Picicca Dischi), followed in 2017 by his first full-length album, “Bestiario Musicale” (Picicca Dischi). That same year, Lucio Corsi opened the theatre tours of Baustelle and Brunori Sas, performing throughout Italy and taking part in several festivals.

In 2020, he released his second studio album “Cosa faremo da grandi?” through Sugar Music, produced by Lucio together with Francesco Bianconi and Antonio Cupertino, accompanied by the visionary works of director Tommaso Ottomano. The album was acclaimed by both audiences and critics, leading him to perform as a guest at the Teatro Ariston during the 2021 Premio Tenco. Again alongside Ottomano, in 2023 he released his third album “La Gente Che Sogna” (Sugar Music). On this record, he explored the sounds of 1970s glam rock—one of his greatest passions—while lyrically engaging with themes such as darkness, sleep and dreams, reality and imagination. In May 2023, he embarked on a long concert tour, including an opening performance for The Who at Firenze Rocks, which concluded in autumn 2024.

On November 12, 2024, he returned with the single “Tu sei il mattino” (again released through Sugar Music), whose music video featured a special appearance by Carlo Verdone. Corsi also appeared prominently in Verdone’s TV series “Vita da Carlo - Terza Stagione”, available exclusively on Paramount+, where the song plays a particularly important role.

In February 2025, Lucio Corsi took part in the Sanremo Music Festival for the first time, finishing in second place and winning the Critics’ Award “Mia Martini” with the song “Volevo essere un duro” (certified platinum), which anticipated the album of the same name released on March 21, 2025, now also certified platinum. This was followed by a sold-out club tour across Italy’s major cities, ahead of a 28-date summer tour including two special shows at the racecourses in Rome and Milan.

From May 13 to 17, he represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel with “Volevo essere un duro”. On July 8, he was announced as a winner at the 2025 Targhe Tenco, with “Volevo essere un duro” awarded both Best Album Overall and Best Single Song.

On October 25, 2025, at the 20th edition of the Rome Film Fest, he premiered the concert film “La Chitarra Nella Roccia - Lucio Corsi dal vivo all’Abbazia di San Galgano”, directed by Tommaso Ottomano and produced by Sugar, while on November 14 he released the live album of the same name. On November 20, “Notte di Natale”, Lucio’s new single co-written with Tommaso, followed.

On March 20, 2026—the first day of spring—the reissue of “Bestiario Musicale” was released, Lucio’s first album dedicated to the wild animals typical of the Maremma region. In 2026, two major new projects await him: a European tour across major cities beginning in January, and arena shows in Florence, Rome, and Milan.
