soap

Sophie Ottone, known by her stage name soap, was born in Rome in 2005 and raised in Latina. Her relationship with music began at a young age, and over time she started writing her first lyrics, driven by the desire to convey both the melancholy she carries inside and a sense of rebirth. Sophie became soap on September 15, 2022, the day she released her debut single as an independent artist, a manifesto of an aesthetic and sound perfectly aligned with Generation Z.

A few months later, she began working with Pulp Entertainment, releasing “domani forse” and “macchina argento” in early 2023, both of which gained attention and praise. In the second half of 2023, soap released two more singles: “via del corso” and “cuori in pista.”

In 2024, she followed with “cercavi di più” and “parole violente.” That same year, soap was selected among the 20 Italian artists featured in VEVO Newcomers and among the CBCR picks by Rockit, and in May she opened the 18th edition of the MI AMI Festival. Her track “macchina argento” was also included in the soundtrack of the second season of the Amazon Prime Video series “Prisma.”

With “Amélie,” released on January 31, soap opened a new chapter in her artistic journey, followed by “Occhi Viola (seule),” both singles anticipating the release of “Pas Facile,” her debut EP, which came out on March 28, 2025.

In October 2025, she was selected for the Amazon Breakthrough 2025 program and performed at Ostello Bello Milano Duomo for the final date of the project’s live tour.

Her new single “Buona Vita,” co-written with Sayf, marks another step forward in her musical evolution and will see her among the artists competing in Sanremo Giovani 2025.
