"The Shrimp Condition" is a short documentary produced by Sugar Play in collaboration with The Hills, set within Kayrós, a community on the outskirts of Milan that provides support and housing for vulnerable young people.

Directors Giammarco Boscariol and Davide Piras spent months alongside the residents, choosing to tell the stories of five of them: Morgan, Samu, Andy, Aziz, and Willy. Filmed entirely on iPhone, the documentary condenses over 60 hours of footage, shot across six months, into an intimate and powerful portrait.

The film was selected for the "Short Film" competition at the 2026 Sheffield DocFest and had its world premiere on 13 June 2026.
